Freshman Robinson Looking Solid Early

With the amount of talented wide recievers ASU has returning this season it would be pretty easy to forget about newcomers to the unit. Luckily for the Sun Devils, freshman Gerell Robinson is not the kind of athlete who will let himself go unnoticed.

Robinson's third practice was easily his best this week as he spent most of the practice working with the second team offense, often as it's main target. He showed good hands and a knack for being able to seperate himself from defensive backs.

The highly-recruited freshman from Hamilton knows that despite his natural tools he is going to have to work hard to get ready for his first season at the Division I level.

"You have to be a student of the game," Robinson said after Wednesday's practice. "You can't just rely on your speed, size, and talent alone."

In other reciever news, senior wideout Nate Kimbrough was not at practice on Wednesday. Coach Erickson said he was struck in the head with a plate while weightlifting earlier in the day. He said the team should have a better idea of the status of the injury tomorrow.
