(Chris Graythen, Getty Images)Cale Iorg, who had committed back on July 21st to play shortstop for ASU next season, signed a $1.5 million dollar deal with the Detroit Tigers today. Iorg was a sixth-round draft pick out of Alabama, who hasn't played baseball in two years due to being on a Mormon mission. Iorg initially said that he was transferring to Arizona State because, "Arizona State has a bigger population of people with my religious beliefs." Now, he might BE the Mormon population in Detroit. I guess the price was right.
